Anthony Carrancho

Hello all DECA Members, my name is Anthony Carrancho and this is my second consecutive term serving Massachusetts DECA.  DECA was introduced to my High School only three years ago and I was a part of it from the beginning.  When I heard about it, I signed up, paid the dues and never looked back. 

I was only a sophomore at the time.  That first year I was part of my chapters Quiz Bowl team and we placed second at States.  When the first place team forfeited their status we stepped up to represent Massachusetts in the International Career Development Conference held in Orlando, Florida.  In my junior  year, I became treasurer of my chapter.  At districts I placed third in Retail Merchandising.  Then at states I campaigned to be part of the Mass State Action Team. As you know, I was one of the candidates that won.  In addition, I place 2nd over all in my category and went to internationals where I competed and trained in a Leadership Academy.  Now in School,

I was Student Body President my junior year and just got reelected to serve my senior year as well.  I have been the sole student member of the School Committee for the past two years and President of the Student Representative Organization.  In my senior year of high school, I was president of Dartmouth DECA and also campaigned for and won a second term as Massachusetts DECA State Officers.  As of now, I am attending Johnson and Wales University in Providence majoring in Advertising and Marketing Communications.
